"You know the question, just as I did."

It's the question that drives us. It's the question that brought you here. You know the question, just as I did. ~ Trinity

RE: New York Times Article

Perhaps I'm egotistical, paranoid and delusional, but I've always felt the world was here just for me. Since I was a child, I remember thinking things weren't quite right. Whether I felt like Jim Carey in The Truman Show, as if the world was watching me; Keanu Reeves in the Matrix, as if I was living in a dream or simulation; or perhaps the flat out non-existence of The Thirteenth Floor; something has always seemed surreal to me. These are not original ideas.

Solipsism is nothing new, try 2500 years old or so... but in my mind (ha), the idea (haha) that nothing existing outside of the mind can be proven, seems very plausible. But whether we're all just floating brains in vats, sims in a futuristic game, or actually, physically here, does it really matter? We still learn, love, laugh and lament, and when we pinch ourselves it hurts. Perception is reality.

However...

If this world isn't as tangible as it seems, perhaps that explains some things, and perhaps it means some things... Mind over matter... What if it isn't matter? Does it really matter? ;)

[A quick aside]
